Vein & Laser use the Cutera Cool Glide Laser, the latest laser technology. The hand piece contains a cooling device (hence the name Coolglide), which lowers the skin temperature before the laser beam strikes it.
- The laser heat damages the hair follicle stopping future hair growth.
- Because the hairs are in different growth cycles at any one time, several treatments are necessary to treat all the hair.
- Laser works best with dark hair.
Not all laser machines are created equal and it is generally accepted that laser is far more effective than IPL (Intense Pulsed Light).
Before your consultation please have at least 2 days hair growth so the problem areas are easily seen. Unfortunately blonde, grey or red hair does not respond.
Laser “Waxing” (Non Permanent)
This is ideal for anyone who does not like the pain of waxing, the fuss of shaving, or the permanence of laser (as above). A laser beam is passed over the areas where hair removal is desired, and is virtually painless. Over the following few days the hair falls out, and regrowth takes 30 – 90 days to reappear.
The treatment is quick and costs not much more than conventional waxing. Laser “waxing” is possible with our recently acquired laser machine, which can be set to kill the hair but not the follicle.
Hair Removal with Laser - Safety
Vein & Laser uses Cutera Cool Glide Laser for hair removal & Medlite 4 for laser waxing. The Machines are FDA approved and regularly serviced. All treatments are by registered nurses who are certified in laser safety.
