Redness of the face may be caused by Rosacea, which is a chronic skin condition involving inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, or eyelids.

Spider veins can also be the cause of a 'red face'. They are very common around the nose, cheeks and chin. They are caused by both congenital and acquired factors, and are very quickly and effectively treated with surface laser.

Rosacea symptoms

It may appear as redness, prominent spider-like blood vessels, swelling, or skin eruptions similar to acne. The cause of rosacea is unknown.
