What causes small veins to appear?
The causes can be many,
most significant are – genes,
exposure to sun and weather without sunblock,
smoking and varicose veins.
........................................
How does the laser remove small veins?
The long wavelength of laser light is strongly
absorbed by the haemoglobin in the veins. The
heat coagulates the blood and destroys the
blood vessel, leaving surrounding tissue intact.
Depending on the number and size of the blood
vessels, one or more treatments may be needed.
........................................
What
are the side effects of laser small vein
removal treatment?
There may be slight swelling after treatment,
which usually disappears in 24 hours. There may
be some discolouration under the skin which can
persist for some weeks, but can be concealed
by women's makeup or a tinted moisturiser.
........................................
Is this
a permanent treatment?
The treated veins have been permanently removed,
but later skin damage or problematic underlying
blood vessels may cause new veins to appear,
which will then have to be treated. Avoiding
environmental factors such as sun and smoking
can help prevent recurrence.
........................................
What will it cost?
Vein & Laser has
a basic charge of $150 for 15 minutes of laser
time.
........................................
What must I do
before and after treatment?
Avoid sun exposure and always use sunblock. Remove
makeup before treatment. Avoid alcohol and
vigorous activity for 24 hours after treatment.
Otherwise continue with your normal life.
